Scrapbooking at the convent was a great time! One of our cars “took a break” Friday evening and I thought I would have to cancel, but a sweet friend offered her husband’s car and I was thrilled . . . blessed. . . thrilled and blessed.

I was there with 12 gals, three Cricuts, 23 cartridges, and for 30 hours. I slept for 9.5 of those hours (heaven) in my own little room. The other hours were spent at my own little table completing 31 pages of scrapbook goodness and journaling another 8 pages I didn’t finish last time I worked on this stuff.

It was fun. It was real fun. I am so thankful.

My mom is here now. A week with my mom – I am excited. We are going to do my files. I would say re-do my files, but they aren’t done. All our papers are in stacks. I know where everything is, but it’s inefficient. Enter my mom *wink*.

So, the files and some sewing and some cupcake making. Think that will fill the week!
I’ll keep you posted.

Fun Weekend – for me

I am off this weekend!!! Friday night we are having an event with the women’s ministry at our church and then Saturday morning I am leaving EARLY to attend a weekend scrapbooking at a CONVENT about an hour away!!!

We each get our own room and there is a big room for cropping and the nuns are cooking our meals. . . seriously. It sounds like Julie Andrews meets HGTV or something.

This is a super big treat and I am so excited about the opportunity to work on our albums – I am SO BEHIND! Honey will have the kids Saturday and 1/2 Sunday all by himself. My sweet friend Amy is going to have Bubba over to her house for many hours on Saturday so it shouldn’t be too tough on Honey. My mom comes next week so maybe we’ll send Honey off for a few hours on his own.

He Said, She Said

One of the helpers in children’s worship told me two things that Bubba said in the past few weeks. I don’t want to forget them.

“Sin gets me every time.”

One of the kids had said that Jesus is magic and the leader was busy exclaiming that Jesus was, in fact, NOT MAGIC. Bubba turned to Alex and said, “Jesus is not magic but he walked on water.”

KB awoke from her nap yesterday in a very talkative mood. As I changed her out of her dry pull-ups, we were discussing the wind which was blowing very hard. So hard, in fact, that a tree was knocking on the side of the house. I mentioned the tree to KB and this conversation ensued,

“Dat tree broken?”
“I think a branch is hanging pretty low, that’s for sure,” I responded.
“Daddy fix it?”
“I don’t know that daddy will be fixing that tree, KB.”
“Daddy will fix it. Daddy Superman. He fly up to fix it. I get him screwdriver?”

MacGyver had duct tape, Honey has his screwdriver. . . like Dr. Who!

A friend called yesterday to invite us over for dinner. When I hung up KB asked if I was talking to Memom. This followed:

“No, that wasn’t Memom. That was Ella’s mommy. They asked us to come have dinner with them. Wouldn’t that be fun to go eat at Ella’s house?”
“Bubby come?”
“Yes”
“Little come?”
“Yes, we would all go together.”
” Dat will be fun. I LOVE Ella.”
“Well, I love YOU!”
“And me love Ella!”
