10 Years and counting

On November 11, 2000 I married that guy.  It was a nice wedding.  My mom was a little loopy about us leaving in a timely manner and so come 4:00PM we were out of there.  I was starving. . . there was all that hugging at the reception and I ate nothing.  Honey had reservations at Ruth’s Chris and I remember it was delicious.  The man at the table next to us paid our bill. . . he said his name was Christopher Columbus.
This year marks 10 years of marriage. My sweet Honey surprised me with reservations at Ruth’s Chris and we had such a great time.  When we arrived we were greeted with, “You must be the Kicklighters.  Happy Anniversary!” We were led to a booth that sat up a step from the main floor and faced the rest of the room and there were rose petals on our table.  The food was delicious and having 3 uninterrupted hours to talk was magnificent.  There was even a 10 year anniversary version of Christopher Columbus. . . only this time his name was Jeriald.
God is and has been good to us.  I am so grateful.
Here’s to 10 more years!
