We picked up what KB enthusiastically calls “gasses” today. Thankfully, it interprets to glasses and not literally what she is saying *smile*. She was sweet to let Mr. Terry put the glasses on her and anyone watching could tell she immediately saw better; she lit up and left them on. She waved to people down the hall and across the parking lot. They are definitely a welcome addition.
At first it was no issue because all three of my children have glasses – it’s normal. But when Terry put them on her today my heart was sad. Sad that she’ll have to wear glasses for so many years. Sad that her pretty face is “hidden” behind lenses. Sad that she may be picked on or feel unattractive as she grows up. Then her face lit up and she could obviously see more clearly. My emotions changed again. I am thrilled for her and that she can see clearly now (the rain is gone.) She can see all obstacles in her way.. . okay, enough of that. But seriously, while it doesn’t take the sadness away, it tempers it because more than beauty and complements, I would want my little one to experience life to the fullest. Seeing is such a bigger part of that. SO, I am doing fine, thanks for asking, Pen.

I think she looks great and very cute. I have worn glasses and now contacts since a young age. I often think about not ever having to wear glasses/contacts again when I have a glorified body. >>Thanks for sharing!
That face! That face! That beautiful face!>~Mad
It’s so great to hear you say that. That’s exactly what I started realizing when I was told Luke may need glasses. It’s better for our kids to have what they need rather than our shallow desires. …and I’m so glad she’s adjusting well.
I’ve been waiting for a picture of her with her glasses on. I think she’s adorable!!! She has the sweetest little grin and sparkle in her eye and glasses don’t detract from it at all!!
