One Less Marital Squabble

You know the classic marital argument about whether or not to squeeze the toothpaste from the bottom or the middle? We have never had an argument about that, but it is always used as an example as one of those things that rips marriages apart – whatever.

Well, I have a $4 therapy for all you stressing couples out there.  Read your toothpaste tube! Have you ever done that? No? I mean, why would you? But, I was reading the back of my toothpaste tube today (don’t ask) and it says, “Squeeze from the bottom and flatten as you go up.”  Yes, there are directions on toothpaste, for Pete’s sake.

So, she wins or he wins and go back to laughing in the morning.
This was so random but I had to share.

Hey! Not sure if I’m supposed to respond to your comments on my blog or yours, so here goes…it’s a bookclub I started w/a couple friends (including Jen McKillips) about 10 years ago. Most of the founding members moved away and it sort of died many months ago, so when Abi Matthews (not sure if you remember her) moved back in town we got it going again. It is not the one at church and we’re keeping its original purpose of having one that isn’t completely serious, no christian authors are used (although we did do C.S. Lewis’ Till We Have Faces) so we can invite friends and neighbors, and no Oprah books (just because we are snobs; it’s really nothing against Oprah). If you’d like to join, we’d love to have you. I’m pretty sure I would be the only person you would know unless you’re familiar with Abby Doriani. Let me know; the next book is Geraldine Brooks’ “People of the Book”. 🙂

  2. Did you get that toothepaste for free from Walgreens this month?! I did! 🙂 ~anniep.s. I think we have had some toothpaste issues along the way, but so far our marriage has survived them. 🙂
