Chats with Little

Just wanted to let you in on a conversation I had with Little over lunch today. (Conversation is in italics because this is a new phenomena in our home. Little has a touch of echolalia and so we normally hear what we say repeated throughout the day and hope to heaven we know what she wants).

So, today I asked Little, “Now when are you going to stop sucking your thumb?”
Replay, “When I turn four in Feb-Ru-ARY!”
As I am asking her this, I am taking a picture of a birthday gift I just made for my neice, Esther.
Little says, “Look at the picture, please.”
I bring the digital camera over for her to peek and she says, “It’s for Esther’s birthday. In Febraury too!”
“That’s right” I reply – dumbfounded.
“Esther’s in China” she continues and my mouth drops open.
“Yes, she is.” I say.
“Little go to China too.”
“That would be wonderful, wouldn’t it, Little.” I say.
“Little will stay here in St. Leweeous” She pronounces and takes a bite of lunch.
Conversation ended.

What FUN!!!
