Date Nights Here We Come!!

I LOVE Restaurant.com! You can purchase gift certificates to restaurants in your city at discount prices. Well, just found out they have a coupon code at present for 80% off normal prices. Meaning: I just got $100 worth of gift certificates for $8! Certificates to the Canyon Cafe at Frontenac, Wapango, a Thai place nearby and J. Buck’s. All you have to do is put in your zip code and the participating restaurants in your town are listed. When you check out, use the discount code “TREATS” and the 80% will be subtracted! Hurry before they sell out at YOUR favorite place to eat.

And no, I am not getting a kick-back for this post.
Too bad, eh?

Inching Ticker

My ticker moved. You can’t really tell – on the screen or on me – but Memom must have worked me like a dog! There’s a new approach – stay so busy in another room of the house doing something productive that you don’t go in the kitchen and snack. Brilliant!

I Wanna Be Like Memom

My mom is one of my favorite people. We have mother/daughter moments, of course, but I love being with her and laugh at how much I am like her.

I love watching my children with their Memom.

KB took to her after only a moment’s hesitation.

Bubba loved having someone to do his sticker book with.

Little wanted to do EVERYTHING Memom did.(I LOVE this picture!!)

When Honey told me we would be staying in the Midwest, one of my biggest fears was that my children wouldn’t get to know their Memom and Pop or Grandma and Grandpa. Grandma and Grandpa are hard to visit due to the 14 hour drive and NO direct flight. Southwest has a direct flight to Birmingham and God has been so gracious to allow up visits with Memom VERY regularly – Pop, semi-regularly. I am so thankful for the relationships they are building.
