I am expecting a good hair day today.
“Why?” you ask, “Is the weather perfect? Are you trying a new shampoo?”
No, I have an appointment to get it cut tomorrow.
That’s just the way things work for women, eh?
Hair Daze
Switcheroo
Honey took the day off last Thursday. Little had testing for her new school and I couldn’t find a sitter. It was the kids’ first full day off school so he took the whole day off and we went out for a festive family breakfast.
Upon arriving home, Honey set about switching the girls’ bedrooms. We have been contemplating this change for a while now and May 28 was the big day. KB is in real need of some self discipline and learning to play by herself. Her room has been upstairs and that has made “room time” (as we call it) a bit more difficult. Well, now she is on the main floor and her life is about to change.
Little LOVES her “new room”. I can remember very FEW times she ever played in her room downstairs, but she has declared her new room “cozy” and disappears regularly to go and play there.

We need to paint a bit and hang stuff on the walls, but it’s nice to have the big stuff done. Right, honey?
Mother’s Day and Beyond
Did I tell you that I got “time away for planning and thinking” for Mother’s Day? Well, I cashed in on that gift today and tried to get a handle on our summer. Whew! I cannot believe how busy our June is!
One of the main things I wanted to think through was how to help the kids with the frequent changes of schedule and ranging activities of the month. Here’s what I came up with:

Each circle is only half way attached so each night they can pull it off from the top. Each different pattern represents a different activity and the letter also goes with the day’s plan(H=home). I only did June tonight but will have July’s ready before our trip to Memom’s (can you find that on the calendar?). I’ll let you know how it works.
