Sleep Over – It Can Be Done

KB got a new bed this spring and so the kids had a sleep over in her room. They did GREAT (to our surprise) and one night turned into three. It is so freeing to know that this is possible!sleepover

Memom

Once we said our goodbyes at the park, the kids and I hopped in the car and drove to the airport to get Memom. She was with us for five days and it was wonderful to have her around.  What did we do?

Went to the zoo . . . zooSince the theme for VBS was “Weird Animals”, our Children’s Ministry Director put together a scavenger hunt for the zoo and invited everyone to meet on the Saturday after VBS to find all the animals discussed during the week.  It was HOT and the kids were TIRED and it probably wasn’t the best decision to go.

Swam. . .swimmingMemom stayed at a hotel for the first couple nights and the family enjoyed the pool together.

Two days were special KB/Memom days! Little and Bubba had camp and so Memom spoiled her youngest Kicklighter grandchild with shopping and lunches.  KB had a ball and I am thrilled they had the time together.photo 1My mom has always been a mother first and my dear, dear friend second.  I am thankful for her friendship, her love for me and my family, and her prayers for us.  What a gift to have five days with her.
