Unexpected Pleasure

Tonight I was supposed to get a filling replaced. You heard me right – replaced. Talk about unfair things in life. Not only did I have to sit through getting a filling as a nine year old, I have to have it drilled out and replaced by a clear one. Better for the future of my mouth? Yes. More aesthetically pleasing? Yes. Sound like a good time? No.

Imagine my sadness as I checked the voicemail on my cell phone while ON THE WAY to the dentist, only to find out they were two hours behind and wondered if I could reschedule. I pulled over in a parking lot (conveniently located across from the mall) and called to reschedule. Then I did the only thing any self-respecting girl could do in such circumstances. I went to Michael’s alone.

Rarely do I stop in mid-morning to blog BUT KB is in her room learning to play happily by herself and you HAVE to see this:

They both are darling but I get to be married to the one on the left. The one with facial hair. The gorgeous one (no offense, Kent.)

KB’s Boo Boo

If you see her, don’t stare!

She is very self conscious about her boo-boo. It’s actually kinda funny since she is not even two years old. Still, she is timid when asked about it and eager to use it to get sympathy on her own terms. My KB is a natural at manipulation, I tell you what.

How did it happen? Playing outside, KB had a stick, Bubba decided to do a little dance and bumped KB, stick slashed face, crying ensued. I’m surprised you didn’t hear it.
