Four Years Coming

Today my son spoke his most coherent sentence yet. I was on the front porch waiting for Little’s bus and chatting with my sister on the cell. Bubba had gone inside and returned to my side, where I heard him say, “Momma, it’s the rooster.”

I turned to him and said, “I don’t know the rooster.”

He looked at me pretty hard, put his hand on my shoulder and said, “Momma, I broke the rooster.”

This was one of four plates hanging on the wall to the left of our frig. The scene of the crime showed frig magnets, a stool, and a broken plate. My deduction is that he stood on the stool to reach a frig magnet and bumped his head on the plate – thus knocking it from it’s hook and sending it to it’s death. No worries. Every decorating show tells you to display things in odd numbers.

I am more shocked that the boy is four and this is the first broken dish.
I am even more grateful that he could tell me about it.

ClustrMaps – One Year Reset

So, I have had my little ClustrMaps widget for a year now. They reset the map at a year. So, overnight I look like no one loves me.

Actually, they are very nice about it and sent me an email which read as follows:

“…we are writing just to let you know that an annual automatic ‘archive’
of your red dots has taken place, meaning that all your ‘other’ (previous) red
dots are safely stored in the Maps Archive, which you’ll find by clicking on the
Maps Archive link immediately above your large full-size world map.

Although the map archive has already happened, your existing map will
stay displayed until the NEXT update of your map. This helps to avoid displaying
a totally empty map until there are fresh dots to show.”

Isn’t that kind – they have safely stored my red dots. AND they waited until I had new red dots so that I wouldn’t feel like a COMPLETE loner. (I wonder if they are run by an insecure woman?)

Anywho, it is fun to know that today I have been visited by 67 people.
56 from America
6 from Australia
2 from Spain (Hola!)
1 from Germany
1 from Belgium
1 from Vietnam

Who IS that dot in Vietnam???
(I act like I KNOW someone in Belgium. . . or Germany. . . or Spain!)

I Won! I Won!!!

Ack! I was randomly selected by the folks at Zondervan to win a CASE of the new edition of the Jesus Storybook Bible. Oh My Stars!!! I am just so excited. I feel that I should write a thank you note. I don’t know who to send it to. What’s etiquette in this situation? I’m overcome! This is so unexpected. (Fan my eyes. Blink back tears.)

I can’t wait to give them away. . . but I’ll have to. There is paper work I have to sign, etc. and I don’t want to give away what I don’t yet have. So, keep coming back and one day SOON you’ll find a great fun giveaway.

YOU can be chosen too! Just go to www.jesusstorybookbible.com to find out how YOU can win a case this week!
