Shopping

Today I made a visit to the grocery and Walgreens – I knew of some deals from this week that actually met needs and the kids were all in school or “school”.

Schnucks:

Full Price Total: $27.23
Total after coupons and sale: $5.51
Savings: 80%

Walgreens
Full Price Total: $43.40
Total after coupons and sale: $5.15
Savings: 88%

I just realized that I can mail in a rebate for the three Windex bottles! It’s a $5 rebate so I will ultimately have only spent $.15!! That’s a 99.994% savings! Holla!

People who live in town, the cups were completely free – they are selling for a $1 and there is a $1 coupon peelie on each package! Limit of 10. If you are attending a Memorial Day cookout, you may want to volunteer to bring paper goods and then run, don’t walk, to your nearest Schnucks.

My Twist on Old Spice

Ladies, look at your man –
now back at me –
now back at your man –
now back to me.
Thankfully, he is not me but he smells like me
since I ran out of my ladies body wash and had to use my husband’s manly smelling wash.

Look down. Now up.
Where are you? In a minivan with the girl your man smells like.
What’s in your hand? Now back at me. I have it.
It’s a coupon for the store I love.
Look again. The coupon is now body wash!
Anything is possible when you don’t want to smell like a man, but like a lady.
I’m at my computer.

For those of you who have NO IDEA what I am talking about (mom), watch this:

Honey Brings Home the Bacon

Yesterday, as Honey prepared to leave, Little asked where he was going. He answered, “I’m going to work, Little. I have to bring home the bacon!” Of course she repeated, “You have to bring home the bacon?”etc.

Last night, Honey got home just as I closed Little’s door. He went in to kiss her goodnight and this conversation followed:

“Hey, Dad.”
“Hey, Bud-Bud”
“Did you come home?”
“I did. Did you have a good day, Little?”
“Yes, I did.”
“Have good sleeps, Bud-Bud.”

Honey turned to leave and as he approached the door Little said, “Dad? Did you bring home the bacon?”
“Yes, Little, I did.”
“Maybe we can have it for dinner.”

(Bu-dum-dum-tsh!)
