This is a project that has been waiting for me to finish it for some time now. I would just look at it and walk away. All that was left to do was Modge Podge KB’s name, stats, and the measuring tape to the board. THAT WAS IT.

You may not notice the colossal and ridiculous mistake I made. In my excitement to get it done today, I put all the words and numbers in the wrong places. I had two kids at VBS and KB was with “Pushman” so I was going to give 30 min. to a check on my to do list. What I actually did was create days of more work. Argh.

I put her name down the side. Her name was supposed to go up top. It would soften up the pink a damask a bit. And then there is her birth date. I put it down the side. It was supposed to go at the bottom by her birth length. Why is this a big deal? What was supposed to go down the side?? The markings as she grows FOR PETE’s SAKE!

Honey says we can sand it off. . . Ugh.

A local theatre is hosting free family friendly films each week and last week the film just happened to be one our kids enjoy. Honey took the morning off so he could share the experience with us and we joined a couple hundred other children for the showing of:

The kids did great. They have seen the movie before so I knew they could sit that long. I took a toy for Little to fidget with and that ended up being a stroke of genius on my part. I was glad it was free because we had the freedom to leave when they did start getting antsy; that wasn’t until the last 7 minutes when Wilbur takes Charlotte’s eggs back to the farm.

It was a fun morning. Bubba didn’t like the noise before the movie began. All the people talking was a bit overwhelming in conjunction with the continuous noise from the Behind the Scenes look at some movie we didn’t know anything about. He was glad when the film finally started.

The only other film I’m interested in taking them too is Horton Hears a Who – it’s this week while Honey is at General Assembly. I just need to decide if I’m going to do it.

After dropping the kiddos off at VBS this morning, KB and I headed to Target to see if we could make a mockery of their difficult policies and poor customer care. I feel that we did it.

This was our purchase for the day:

6 body wash
1 bathroom cleaner
2 lip balm/moisturizer
2 July 4th hair bows
1 pair sunglasses
2 paper towels
1 bib
1 razor
2 baby wipes
4 ft. ribbon

Total spent: $11.93 ($6 of which was bib and bows.)

There is a mail-in rebate available for the original cost of the razor, so I will get $8 back on that.

That makes the total spent: $3.93
