Winner and Whatnot

Well, I’m home.  We had a wonderful time in Atlanta but barely slept at all (and I am just too old for that).  I’ll tell you more about our trip this next week.

I came home to 356 emails.  Now on one hand that makes me sound so popular and important.  Let me break down those 356 for you. . .

142 straight to junk mail
106 from Snapfish, 6pm.com, and other online shopping sites

Since I am home, the giveaway is over.  Thanks to everyone who said such nice things and left comments.  I used random.org to find our bathroom print winner and it was number 7 – – Denise Daniels! Congrats, Denise! I’ll get in touch with you to discuss just what you want!!

Mommy Mission Update

So I finished my first month of Mommy Missions and am gearing up for month 2 which begins tomorrow.  I have to admit, I wasn’t too thrilled at first.  I just kept thinking, “Just read this short passage?” and “Seriously, a thought for the day?”  Well, let m tell you. . .

The first month purposes to refocus a mommy’s heart and can I just tell you my month was sprinkled with conviction, hope, conviction, and more scripture than it’s bathed in for ages.  Simplicity – yes, but that is exactly what I need.  This mommy doesn’t have hours and hours but I can journal about the topic she gives to spark my thoughts.  I can take a short inventory (that kicked my rear end up and down) which forced me to process my values and priorities.  So, all in all, I am thrilled that I am a part of this and I’m ready to dive in and focus on who God is during month two.

Of course I had add a touch of cutesy to the calendar:

Click on through and check out Mommy Missions.  Tara has an ebook you can download to get the gist of her vision and you may just decide to sign up.  If you do – your calendar will NOT have the obtrusive green squares!

Crazy Hair Day

Little’s elementary school has “spirit” days spread through out the year.  “Crazy Hair” day fell on the same day as the 100 Day Celebration and so the 1st grade postponed wearing crazy hair until last Wednesday.
KB, ever the fashion forward thinker, thought the idea of floppy, all-over-your-head pony tails was brilliant and asked to wear hers that way too.  Yes, she did go to Mother’s Morning Out this way.  One day she will ask me why I let her do that and I will tell her that on the actual day she thanked me for letting her do that.

See, she was nothing BUT happy.
