Another Friday – Another Park

I thought I had posted this a week ago and just found it in my drafts.  Oops.
We went to another new park.  Well, actually, we had been to this park for a church picnic once but it was years ago and we didn’t play on the equipment.  We ate under the pavilion.  That was all.
On this particular Friday my friend, April, and her little one met us to splash in the water before the heat became unbearable.

I told KB that my buying her a Dora bathing suit was a sign of my amazing love for her.  I am much more of a “buttons and bows and sweet little girls bathing suit” kind of mom.  She loves it though.  Doesn’t this just look like so much fun? Come visit and we’ll take you!

PSA

A favorite reader has encouraged me to remind you all that this is a wonderful time to stock up on school supplies to add to shoe boxes at Christmas (if you participate in that ministry opportunity).
I guess being frugal runs in my family. . .thanks, bro.

Baptisms and Cupcakes

A friend from church found A Touch of Cutesy (I still don’t know how) and asked if I could do cupcake toppers for her daughter’s baptism.  She showed me a picture of what she wanted and I pulled together a design she “loved”.

She had a couple extra and so she used them to decorate the table.

Now, the funny thing is that when I delivered the toppers I met Mary Beth’s mom.  MB and I had already put together that she is from my home town and her maiden name is Stegall, but there are a few Stegalls and I couldn’t put my finger on who she went with.  (I babysat a Stegall once and I told her it better not be her.)  As soon as I saw her mom I did that “Aaaaaahhhhh!”; it was fun to see someone familiar from home and fun that she was not the Stegall I babysat for.
