Weighted Blanket

I have been working on a weighted blanket for Bubba. His OT let us borrow one and we have had it WAY too long. But, it has gotten to a point where he won’t sleep well without it and I just can’t bring myself to return it until I have mine done.

The blanket is finished but now I have to sew and fill the bean bags that add the weight. It would have been finished awhile back if not for a tooth pillow, Halloween costumes, 175 candy bars to wrap for a church event, etc. Maybe by this weekend. . .

Do the beanbags go in the corners to weigh it down or do you sew them other places as well. Elizabeth would LOVE a weighted blanket to keep her warm so please let me know what I need to make her one. Thanks!

Ann Louise asked Mimi to buy one for Jack. At first I felt like I could tell a difference, but not drastic. He likes it. Way to go on making one. Are you using synthetic beans so that you can wash it? Marcie

  3. Becky – can you explain the weighted blanket idea? Is it so it stays on him during the night or is it a security thing?

Thoughts?
